And hello again.. *sigh* today's been an odd one ...Ebay's latest silly restructuring fiasco is beyond a joke as most of the forums illustrate and I, like so many other sellers, am really sick and tired of eBay's manipulative tactics. 

I'm actually offended by ebay's apparent belief that we're all stupid enough to be blindly taken in by the email they sent offering free gallery and 1p listings ...Did they not think we'd read the small type and find the plethora of dodgy charges they plan to levy in order to offset their gracious freebies?  By crikey - they've done a stonking job of manipulating everything to their own profit-greedy ends this year... Kudos to the inhuman automatons who now seem to people their offices...they've finally shed all traces of humanity.

I know people who sell multiples of the same thing will in many ways benefit (although I would STILL question the FVFs and shop rent rises) but they're just one of many sections of ebay's trading universe.... what about comic & book sellers?  Second-hand stuff sellers?  Artists and jewellery makers, crafters and hobbyists? People who sell postcards, vintage nik-naks, clear old baby clothes and toys to help fund new stuff in our increasingly dodgy economy? All these people bullied or cajolled over the past 2 years into opening shops...all these people who've taken a quiet and honest pride in their shop fronts and the work they've put in... All the small business owners either looking to grow and expand their trade, or supplement an uneven income when trends change and finance shifts.... Ebay was BUILT on the membership of these people... they're all of us - our friends and families, and ebay no longer seems to give a rat's proverbial rear end for any of us. 

It's the Tesco-style monopoly all over again.... It's Microsoft, Mattel, Disney and Lucasfilm...Coca Cola and MacDonalds... Soon as they get money and power they lose everything but greed.  I had the choice to keep my shop in basic form but I have opted to close. At least until ebay learn (some hopes...). It's not even a bug on the windscreen to ebay, but if enough of us take some stand it might just create a ripple they have to acknowledge.  It worked in other European countries so there's a chance at least.

Hey all!  Hello and welcome to yet another opportunity and excuse for me to ramble, rant and rave!  It's 1 pm and so far I have managed to be attacked TWICE by the menacing, heaving swarm of drugged-up, vampire mosquito vileness that's infesting my increasingly overgrown garden...ARGH!  BUT - I have discovered that they don't react well to hairspray - quite amusing.  There's at least a couple of dozen of them now welded to the garden fence and I'd swear they actually look surprised! ahaha.  Revenge is sweet.

However - they've recruited one of my cats... poor Victor is MOST annoyed by the whining floaty throng fizzing round his little ears and has decided to claw me to shreds as I am a far easier target to hit.  See? Insects really ARE taking over!! Using pointy felines as weaponry is entirely unfair!!!

....out with the hairspray.....

So  - today I shall be sorting out another couple of boxes of comics and listing them this evening for everyone to root through.  I have to load another chunk of graphic novels on my website too so a busy day and night ahead! I'll need some incentive to keep me going, so I suspect a lovely bottle of Merlot and a Star Trek box set may just be in order! HURRAH!
