I was VERY limited on what the govt would allow me to do. I was not allowed to have any help with medical bills, I was not allowed to make over a certain amount per year. I was not allowed to go back to school or apply for any sort of grant for college. I have been fighting USCIS and INS and the govt for 12 years to be able to have my PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS, not just a temporary TIN number, etc.... FINALLY. FINALLY! we made the trip to NORFOLK VA this week, and the Lady who helped me was SO SWEET. And, she knew what she was doing. She didnt just throw up her hands in confusion and go get her superiors, as many have in the past. (we entered in '96 without passports, so no one quite knew what to do with me) Turns out, before the year 1999, there was a PASSPORT WAVER when a canadian entered the united states through vermont customs. I didnt HAVE to have a passport..... and no one else seemed to notice this, look it up, or even TRY to straighten things out for me. SOOOOOOOOO..... Betty at the USCIS norfolk branch, PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS! TRU IS PERMANENT AND ALLOWED ALLLLLL BENEFITS! WOOT WOOT!!!! maybe now I can get some help paying the huge medical bills I incured during the last couple of years, with the precancer etc..... god willing, medicaid will help. hotels.sighPosted 27-Aug-08 12:41:04 BST hey goodmorning... im here in norfolk va, at the la quinta hotel, i have a meeting at 9 am....its nice here at the laquinta...... But, Im having a severe allergic reaction..... I took two actifed, and waiting for the swelling to go down in my face so I dont look like the marshmallow man.... WHY????? because we had to choose the only hotel within 100 miles that offers the luxery of feather pillows. Tru is very very allergic to feathers! I only had to lay on them for just a second before I realized they were down pillows... but that was enough to have my skin crawling all nite and my lips and eyes so swollen I look like someone blew up my face with a bike pump. sigh.... oh ya, im going to make a great impression at the meeting. lol spam?Posted 25-Aug-08 01:03:32 BST what is the definition of spam???????????????????????????? well, here is one definition I have found.
