Most Recent Posts CORE DRILLING EQUIPMENT SAVINGSPosted 13-Jan-08 04:17:16 GMT Updated 13-Jan-08 04:18:43 GMT During a recent business trip to New York city, it came to my attention that contractors were paying very high prices for construction equipment. I visited the United Rentals store just beside Ground Zero, home to many new projects, and I was amazed at the high costs of core drilling equipment. For example, core drill bits ranging between 1" to 6" in diameter sell for 83$ to 309$ respectively. Of course they are selling popular brands like Norton and Target, however the same type of bits can be found online from reliable suppliers for only a fraction of the price. Full 11 piece sets of core drill bits ranging from 1.5" to 5" in diameter complete with centrering pieces and SDS/HEX arbors sell for between 99$ to 120$ in online stores (eg. http://stores.ebay.com/Techservice-Online). An example of such a complete core drill bits set is shown in the image below (Techservice Online, 2008): ![]() I had many customer buy the above set from me and I've only had positive feedback. The tools perform effectively under normal operating conditions and they are as durable as those from popular brand names. KITCHEN RENOVATION: MARBLE COUNTERTOPSPosted 08-Dec-07 02:34:08 GMT Updated 08-Dec-07 15:51:14 GMT The kitchen is one of the most important areas in any house and a great way to give it the punch it deserves is to upgrade to marble or granite countertops. One of my clients (whose countertop project is shown on the image below) had purchased marble slabs from a local supplier and had carefully drafted drawings for his countertops. He then had to polish it and install it himself. Of course he had the necessary equipment to do so, however, he needed a fresh supply of consumables. Firstly, he needed a new set of polishing pads to last the duration of the job and a set of core drills to make the curved edges of his slab. Both of these tools use diamond metal bits. To find these tools, my client searched both his local hardware store and surfed Ebay to find the best price. He landed on my online store (http://stores.ebay.com/Techservice-Online) and found everything he needed to complete his project. After having both safely received his tools by mail and installed his countertops, my client proudly sent me pictures of his work. The high quality result obtained clearly indicates the effectiveness of the tools and of course the agile skills applied. ![]() |
