They're inexpensive, and add alot of bang for the buck to a nursery, kids room, bathroom, old piece of furniture, etc. It's not hard to throw some nifty, new, adorable multi-colored monogrammed knobs on a plain old white piece of furniture and a color coordinating plaid monogrammed switchplate on the light switch and you've taken a regular, nicely painted room with some plain furniture and easily turned it into snazzy!! I wish I could add pictures to this blog. The tremendous difference a few knobs and a switchplate (especially when you add in the outlet covers...super nice touch) can make in a room needs to be seen to be appreciated. Who knew it! I Wish Buyers Would Read Our Descriptions in AuctionsPosted 21-May-07 18:13:21 BST I'm just venting. I am so frustrated with some of the people who shop on ebay and don't even read the description of the item they are purchasing! I include really important details in my descriptions so people will know exactly what they are buying, and how long it will take to get there. I can't tell you how many people, first of all, are so wonderful and kind. I have never dealt with so many really nice and understanding people. It does more than balance out the irritating ones....BUT, when you run across someone who doesn't read the description, then leaves nasty feedback without even e-mailing you to discuss it...that drives me BONKERS! Once they've left the feedback the damage is done. No matter what I say as my reply, even though it's the truth, it just looks like I'm irritated with the Buyer and always comes out sounding nasty. So basically there is no way to defend yourself from inaccurate feedback. In many ways, I think ebay has blown it, as far as Sellers are concerned, with the feedback set up. It really is all set up to the benefit of the Buyer. I can understand to an extent that the Buyers are the ones that need protection from scam artists, etc. But, many honest Sellers, who's business may well depend upon their feedback, need some sort of recourse for irrational Buyers leaving feedback without thinking it through, or considering how it may affect the Seller. I guess it's all just part of the price we pay for having our business seen by millions all around the world. I really am thankful that there is an ebay...I just wish it was a little more balanced as far as Sellers protection, ya know. Knobs & Switchplates TodayPosted 27-Mar-07 20:18:49 BST Today seems to be an Eiffel Tower, Paris chic kind of day! Spring is SO in the air. Beautiful flowers flowing out everywhere. I can imagine a beautiful room with pale green walls, pink trim, pink poodles and Eiffel Tower knobs on a white washed dresser with pink poodle & Eiffel Tower switchplates & outlet covers tying it all up. Ha...this is my 2 year olds room! I just love it! It's my dream room. When she was born I had it all as Guess How Much I Love You accessories...light switchplates, outlet covers, knobs on the dresser and little shelves on the walls. It was so easy (and inexpensive) to change the decor as she grew and her taste (and mine) changed. All I had to do was switch out the knobs, switchplates and shelves, and we were all in the trendy Paris Poodle chic decor! How easy can it get! I love doing these. I love decorating. I love creating accessories to complete a room. I know some may think it's too much, but tastefully done knobs and switchplates will always work. They're a low cost decorative item that can turn a bland room into something special. A piece of furniture that may be nice, can really reflect your personality with some quirky, trendy monogrammed, multi-colored knobs. Target or Walmart nursery furniture can be transformed into chic, boutique style pieces with some trendy Pink Poodle & Eiffel Tower knobs. Coordinating switchplate and outlet covers add artwork to the walls! If you add a little matching shelf, you've wrapped up the room and made it something special for only about $50. What more can you ask for! I love decorating! |
