I live in Alaska.  And shipping can be a problem.  When looking for something that we want to buy, the first thing that we have to do, is look at the shipping.  When there are sellers out there that only ship via UPS or FedEx they always get skipped.  The cost to have either one of those carriers ship a package up here is astronomical.  If Ebay could possibly put that in the search so that all of those could be avoided, instead of looking at each individual item, it would make things alot easier.  USPS does have insurance and delivery confirmation along with signature confirmation.  And they are not as expensive as the others.  So what do you think Ebay?
