Making Beautiful Hair Sticks 101

Hair stick making, it's the newest craze and we're happy to be here to help answer some questions you might have! As to how to fasten, afix the head pin, usually a 4" size will work, to the hole in the top of the hair stick (all the hair sticks are end-drilled except for the shell ones, they are side-drilled for dangling ornamentation) You can hold the pin in using a toothpick stuck along-side the pin: snap the toothpick off even much like a shim, and then file down any excess sticking out, using a nail file or emery board. You can also add a dab of adhesive, crazy glue or other craft glue to help hold the pin in place-the object is to fit the pin in the hole with no slop, so it doesnt come out...... ;-) If you go to our tips page, it will show you some ideas on how to make hairsticks in a variety of ways: http://www.manyhorses.com/store_hairsticks.htm See how some of our customers from around the world have created some very beautiful hairsticks!~ http://www.manyhorses.com/mhBRAG2.htm Being a Visual person, I learn best by example, and pictures are the best way to learn IMHO (in my humble opinion)! Hope that helps! Happy Hair-sticking!! Sandra Many Horses Jewelry Supply and Artwork

Product Update: Teapot Bead Caps 8mm and 12mm

Hau Koda (hello Friend) Hi All!
We just got in a new shipment of the 8mm Sterling silver cast teapot
bead caps and we wanted to let you know of a product issue we've been
working on with these.
When the teapots are cast, they use hand-operated machinery to stamp
the casts. Sometimes when the product is released from their form,
there is residual casting left behind. And sometimes the holes are not
drilled all the way through the top of the teapots.
We are aware of this slight imperfection in the castings, so we
hand-inspect each one when we recieve them, and again before they ship
to you. Each teapot is checked for a hole and if nessesary, we will
ream out the hole to clear any residual metal from inside, so hat pins
and other materials will pass through unobstructed.
If you ever get one with a blockage in the top or bottom hole, a
little diamond point ream needle is all that is needed to unplug the
blockage. And if you find excess metal around the spout or handle, an
emery board works perfect to clean up the edges.
We will continue to carry these teapots-they are the cutest we've come
across and don't want to stop carrying them, so we will continue to
clean them up as needed.

We hope you enjoy our products and rest assured, we are always working
to provide you, our loyal Customers, with quality products that you
can come back for, again and again!
