Reply to my knockers ! ! !

Unbelievably, despite my benevolent attempts to warn other Ebayers about a disastrous seller, I am getting comments from people about my blogs that are completely missing the point.

Bless. They don't understand.

I am not making any money out of this, but I am still getting people saying that I should have checked the feedback before I bought, and, unbelievably, that I am selling something which I do not have ! Can you believe that ?

The fact that over 500 people have posted a negative in recent times shows that buyers are looking at the good percentage of Record Village and not reading the feedback.

It is a common mistake and I don't see why I or anyone else should be blamed for making it.

My only motivation for doing this at all was to stop people getting ripped off by Record Village and the fact that I have had these negative comments just tells me that the sender needs to get a life. They are not concerned about the millions of people who could get ripped off, but that I have made mistakes as a relative learner on Ebay.

What then if I was a newbie like a lot of these buyers are  ?

It seems to me that they need to concentrate their venom on someone who has intentionally done something wrong and not someone who's motives are good.

Nuff said.

When I bought my CD from Record Village on 3.2.08, his feedback has nowhere near as bad as it has become over the last month. A few negatives and neutrals, but I expected that a big seller would encounter the odd problem anyway. In the last month alone, he has received over 300 negatives! Something has gone very wrong somewhere.

What disturbs me is that even if genuine mistakes are being made, there is no reply to emails and the phone is never answered. It can only be assumed that he is deliberately ripping ebayers off.

What Tazz is doing is warning other ebayers and trying to stop them getting ripped off too as Ebay seem reluctant to act to stop him.

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem!!

when i purchased my cd he had a few probs but with that size of orders you expect a few probs, but just after i placed my order his feedback changed and looked like a bad bit of homework with the teacher leaving worng crosses all of it, the seller has always been slow on delivery but something has gone very wrong maybe he's aways for month or kidnaped by aliens somehthing strange at least, shame he had all the cd's i wanted and more just feel solet down how and why has his feedback changed so quickly in a short space of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has recently left feedback for the few lucky buyers that actually received their goods, so he still seems to be around! If he was having problems, communicating with buyers that haven't received their orders may be a good step to diffuse the situation. Or even voluntarily shut down his shop while problems are sorted. Answering the phone may also be a step in the right direction - but he just seems to be avoiding any kind of problematic communications, which just leads to one conclusion...

I have helped many people get started on ebay selling & buying and I always stress over and over how important it is to check the sellers feedback. More times than not they have no idea what feedback is and have never paid any attention to the numbers next to a name.
