Most Recent Posts Back to the BeachPosted 05-Oct-08 21:57:23 BST Updated 05-Oct-08 21:57:56 BST Are your Ebay sales down? Mine are...so I am going to concentrate more on the lost beach house and the insurance inventory. It's a shame we have to list every tiny thing that was in the house. It really makes us emotional! We will go meet the adjustor on Sunday (next week), and stand and stare at our sink hole that we now own. But we are making plans to rebuild. Come on, Ebay sales! Help me out! The house will cost more than the lost one, even if we build it smaller. And when it is finished (not even started yet), I will invite all of you to visit the beach! going away to restPosted 23-Sep-08 19:36:48 BST Hi! Well, my friends are whisking me away to a lake house instead of the beach house that washed away with Ike. I wonder if a lake is as relaxing as the beach with waves and surf? I hope so.
A gentle reminder, friendsPosted 19-Sep-08 17:34:10 BST I think we should all help the ebayers in the Houston area, by reminding the buyers that the sellers may not be shipping or communicating for a little while, and not to get mad at the sellers if the shipments or communication is a little slow.
Also that a person bidding from down there may need a little extra time paying.
It's not their fault that the power down there may still be off. IKE took my house!Posted 19-Sep-08 15:15:00 BST I am so sorry to tell you that Hurricane Ike took our beach house in Crystal Beach, TX, completely away. There is not a stick standing. I thank God that we were not living there.
The house had a heart and lots of memories, and we do hope to rebuild someday.
I feel for all the people who have lost their lives, family members, homes and jobs, and pets.
It also affected three of our four children's homes and lives. We are all okay, and will be fine. Good night |
