A Conductor, Train Yard And A GoosePosted 18-Mar-08 21:44:24 GMT Updated 18-Mar-08 21:45:28 GMT In case you were wondering what happens when a train conductor in the train yard crosses a goose... Well, you go to court to sue your employer! Here's the story, apparently, this conductor was performing a brake test (about three years ago) at the train yard. And out jumps a goose which struck the "plaintiff" and causing him to fall. The man is suing for loss of earning, future earning capacity and loss of enjoyment of life. Now, I don't know how seriously injured the man was from a goose attack but working in a train yard is fraught with peril. There are extremely heavy equipment and objects lying around. And the best this guy can find is a nesting goose? How exactly is the employer responsible for THAT? I'm sure he was medically insured but suing above and beyond for a disgruntled goose? How exactly does this guy hold his head up high, look at the jury in the eyes and demand extra compensation for being attacked by a goose? Maybe it's me but I think this world is getting a little crazy here... What do you guys think? Your temporarily insane conductor... John P.S.
