Most Recent Posts In the BeginningPosted 20-Mar-08 00:08:44 GMT I have started blogs before and each one has fizzled out until I lost complete interest. I am hoping this time will be different. Seeing that I am obssessed with "watching" items until they end, I might actually make something of this. I'm not really sure how I will begin, but let us hope it all rolls down the duck's back (so to speak). I expect I will be writing some of the short stories that keep my brain in tip top shape. None of them should be taken as great pieces. In fact, most will be just scrambled up, disjointed works from that exact moment. Then there will be the occassional blog on the newest "it" I purchased and how I felt about the purchase. Who knows, the "other" party (my husband) might add a few entries on his seed and garden love. I may have to encourage him though. He is not much for thinking as he is for talking. Today, I purchased two pairs of shoes. I had planned on purchasing more items, but the majority of our tax returns were spent on our children and their new pets. I was debating on whether to get the shoes, but seeing that I haven't had shoes in forever and am itching to have something of my own...I DID IT! I don't have a clue as to how I am going to walk in them. It's been a long time since I went to 5 inches and above. Never have I had 6 inch platform wedges either! Of course, I do know the secret to walking in shoes like that. You pace from backwards to forwards until your feet "learn" to rock from the heel to the toe. This can take a few days, depending on the shoe. At least, that's how it is for me sometimes. Then you tackle the dreaded stairs. The trick is to step down sideways rather than clomp forward, praying you don't lose your balance. Going up is the easy part, it's getting down that provides a challenge. Of course, there is one last rule...if you're still wobbley, DON'T walk on grass or uneven surfaces. At least, not until you are confident you won't tip over and break your leg. That's it for now. Wish me luck! |
