You know what would make Ebay great? I have a few ideas.

Four things for the buyers of Ebay.

  1. Average price for an item.
I know.  Vendors will never go for  it.  But, as a buyer, I like having my expectations set up front instead of finding out through experience that the product is out of my price range.
  2. Recommendations
I visit Ebay for the same type of items.  It would be nice to implement a recommendation system isolated on each profile.
  3. IM System
Wasn't the original purpose of Ebay to connect people with similar interest?  I understand and appreciate the "message system" in place but we need something with more of an immediate presence.  In today's world, waiting hours for a reply really pulls in the opposite polarity of our rushed humanity.
  4. Links to reviews for items
This is by the far the most important.  I normally buy electronics on here.  Goods with that much user involvement require all the buyers' remorse minimizing factors possible.  If I purchase an Xbox 360 game, why not have a link to the Gamespot, Gametrailers, or Ign trailer right there on the page?  Better yet, why not just have a thumbnail with the score and a short summary...similar to metacritic.com?

Hey are you on Big Crumbs? Take a look at my ME page, you can see it from there. You get money back from purchases you make and other people you refer. Feel free to ask me any questions.
