Even though the Acai berry has been known for centuries it didn’t hit the front pages until very recently, like within the last few years.  The superior antioxidant properties and other benficial nutritional properites of Acai started to fit very nicely into todays health conciousness and soon those with access to the Acai berry wanted everyone to know about it.

If you’ve been selling on ebay for a while then it’s time to quit wondering what else to sell on ebay and move forward!   First, let’s review some of our experiences:

 

1)      When we began selling on eBay we did what made the most sense and sold whatever was around the house, in the garage, the attic, basement, etc.  As we were learning the ropes of ebay we quickly ran out of our own stuff to sell.

2)      Next, we ventured out and hit the garage sales, estate sales, and even thrift stores & closeouts.  Add to that the occasional storage unit auction (those are fun, but…). We found a lot of interesting and unique stuff and some brought in a good chunk of change.  Problem is, we were spending so much time going to these places we never had any time left to actually sell on ebay.

3)      The next logical step was to try and source goods from one spot, your own PC.  Dropshipping became the next great idea and there is never a shortage of those around.  Everyone else knows that too.  Look on ebay for what you can dropship and there’s dozens of the exact same thing – selling all at the same time.  There goes the profits - too much supply, not enough demand.

4)      Time for the business and resale license – now you can become a “distributor” and buy small quantites at dealer discounts & tax free.  And now you’re talking a pretty decent spread between your cost & profit, until you have it delivered.  Bulk shipping (or “LTL”) is not cheap and will almost always put you in the hole.

5)      Join the big guns now and buy a truckload full of liquidation.  Shipping and storage rental for a 24 pallet load is also alot of money but the actual load is practically free!  If you can list and sell the good stuff fast enough you’re into some great income.  I also say “good stuff” since 1/3 to 1/2  the load is unsellable, damaged or trash.  You’ll need to dispose of all that somehow as well.  Again, the profit is still nice, but if you’re working alone (like most ebay fanatics do) you just simply cannot keep up.
