Hello World!

This is Happy Homesteaders NYS saying, "Hello to Everyone around the Globe!"  We want to thank you for looking at our blog.  We are a family of five living in Upstate New York and have stories to share that may be fun, interesting, and probably even boring at times.  We thought it would be fun to share about life on our homestead.  We live off five acers which is pacrelled off from the original farm, which was 150 acers. 

My husband grew up on the dairy farm.  When we got married, we lived on the main homestead for about two years.  We moved onto a parcelle of land and began the development of a smaller farm, which we call, "The Farmette".  We have four horses, a calf, laying chickens, meat chickens, two cats, and three dogs.  In our garden we have tomatoes, potatoes, corn (the best ever!), peppers, squash, and cucumbers.  We hope to grow lettuce, carrots, and beans next year. 

We've set up an ebay store to sell things that may help someone else out.  We plan on putting in books, cd's dvd's, projets, toys, and so much more.
