What's new.

Employing Staff

There's only one word for it: nightmare.  All I wanted was someone to do a few hours a week listing DVDs.  The Job Centre is as much use as a chocolate teapot :(  The calibre of people they have sent to me is unbelievable.  Don't believe the hype about millions of unemployed, most of them just don't seem to want to work !!  Well not round here at least :)

If you go to some of the clothing places to try to get a part-time job, you have to fill out a thick novel size job application. Then go to a cash register at that same store and hand them $21.00 on a $10.99 and watch them panic!

try Craigs list. You might also pay them by the listing and not by the hour

Actually, newreich, slave labor was very inefficent. Slaves sabotaged the master's crops and work all the time...

Seriously, though, drsteve, I'd ask around word-of-mouth for somebody who needs a few hours work. Perhaps a net-savvy teen looking for summer money...
