Archive - July 2007 Christmas Listings ho ho ho and all that stuffPosted 28-Jul-07 13:39:55 BST Updated 28-Jul-07 13:40:54 BST Ok ok you're probably thinking "Christmas ?? What the heck is he on about, it's July, the silly old doofus". Well you have to plan early ;-) We've started to get the "must have" games items in already, such as Wii's and DS Lites. There's some really top games coming up as well.... Then there is this year's Christmas release DVDs. Frankly we felt last year was at best "poor". We got the distinct feeling the manufacturers were trying to push the interactive DVDs such as "Deal Or No Deal" (which was incidentally the only one apart from the Red Dwarf Quiz which did any real good sales wise). So far it's looking better for this year and inside information has given us some great tipoffs for titles such as Mulberry and Colditz. This year's push will probably be TV titles. Let's hope for something decent !! As ever, if you want something listed then don't hesitate to contact us, tell us what it is and if we can list it, then we will. Can't say fairer than that. In the meantime enjoy the British summer (while it lasts), because it's nice and sunny on the Staffordshire Moorlands at least. Steve Employing StaffPosted 08-Jul-07 20:05:57 BST There's only one word for it: nightmare. All I wanted was someone to do a few hours a week listing DVDs. The Job Centre is as much use as a chocolate teapot :( The calibre of people they have sent to me is unbelievable. Don't believe the hype about millions of unemployed, most of them just don't seem to want to work !! Well not round here at least :) Steve The Great British WeatherPosted 06-Jul-07 06:53:56 BST This time last year I was drenched in a puddle of sweat.... This year I'm drenched in rain. Ok so what happened to summer ?? For those of us reading this who are not in the United Kingdom last summer was blinkin' hot, very hot, in fact the hottest we've had in years. This year's is best left undescribed. Oh well there's always August ;-) Steve |
