At the end of August, Allison's doctor released her from chemotherapy. A few weeks later she went in for her PET scan. This scan would determine if there were any cancerous cells left in her body. On October 1st, Allison received the news: NO EVIDENCE OF CANCER! The cancer is gone. The chemotherapy worked and Allison is out of danger. She is going to be ok. The donations from people all over the world were an amazing blessing while Allison tried to survive the financial burden of being out of work for 6 months and pay for unbelievably expensive prescriptions all while fighting for her life. We can say 'God Bless You', but we know He already has. 'Thank you', seems so inadequate when we think of the generosity and prayers of so many people. And yet somehow, we must try to show our appreciation. The best way for Allison to show gratitude for the gift of her life, is a life well lived. She is a hard worker and a conscientious citizen. She is generous with her love, her time, and her friendship. The regimen of Chemotherapy that Allison's doctors prescribed would have crippled the strongest man and yet during that treatment Allison continued to be a mother, completed her bachelor's degree, and married her best friend. She inspires so many with her positive attitude and drive to succeed...to live. ![]() ![]() Our Prayers have been answered. God still has a purpose here on earth for Allison. Thank you for helping her to live her life well. |
