I think that the new feedback policy is far from perfect. I can see that ebay want to protect buyers from unscrupulous sellers. What about the decent sellers? We deserve protection from sneaky buyers.

The changes wouldn't be so bad if the buyer had to go through a pay pal dispute before leaving negative FB.

Not all buyers deserve positive FB! and that's the only option we get, other than leaving no FB at all, which will have no effect on their FB %

(at least give us back neutral).

Also, I'd prefer the total FB % to be over entire ebay membership, not just last 12months.

Nobody agrees with the new policies....but I am amazed at the response from sellers NOW....these changes were announced last January, and were the major reason for 2 well-orchastrated Ebay seller boycotts........

Did everyone not realize the changes were coming? They were spelled out in some great detail last January.....

Why does everyone seem so surprised by the changes?

boycotts are idiotic. Complaining about eBay making changes is a waste of time.
Get on with selling, or go away.

It's Ebay's playground.....it is NOT a democracy! You play by Ebay's rules....or you don't play!
Ebay is a publicly traded company that has stockholders to account to.....bottom line is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$, not people!

The new feedback policies suck as far as I'm concerned. If we cannot leave negative or neutral feedback We as sellers are left to the mercy of sellers. Another thing that is unfair is basing your placement in search upon the DSR (detailed seller ratings) One day Im fine them the next Im lowered and I get no sales because My items are not showing up in search results! I pay for a premium store subscription because one of the benefits to haveing a premium Store Subscription is a higher placement in search!!!! Today I recieved good feedback from a seller that said in his comment the item was exactly as described and quick shipping, yet I have lowered standing in search because of the rating I recieved on shipping & handling. He recieved free shipping! I have free shipping on 98% of the items I sell! As long as our Shipping and Handling charges are within Ebay Policies then this should not even be a factor! If they are going to use the DSr in this fashion then it should reflect our performance over our entire membership not just the last 30 days!

ONLY POWER SELLERS GET ANY FORM OF PROTECTION, I THINK THIS IS EBAY'S WAY OF GETTING SMALL SELLERS TO INCREASE NUMBER OF LISTINGS/SALES, THEREFORE INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF FEES THEY RECEIVE!

I'D ONLY BEEN BUYING ON EBAY BY IN JANUARY 2007 (STARTED SELLING A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER), SO WAS UNAWARE OF THE ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE REGARDING FEEDBACK - THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE dalec22

IF NO-ONE COMPLAINED EBAY WOULD ASSUME EVERYONE'S HAPPY WITH THE CHANGES!

I KNOW OF TWO SELLERS (WHOM I KNOW PERSONALLY, NOT THROUGH EBAY) HAVE MOVED FROM EBAY TO OTHER ON-LINE AUCTION SITES (C.Q. BEING ONE OF THEM).

AS SELLERS WE ARE EBAY'S CUSTOMERS. WITHOUT SELLERS THEY WOULDN'T HAVE STOCK HOLDERS TO ANSWER TO. WE ARE ALL LINKS IN THE CHAIN & MY OPINION IS NO LESS VALID THAN ANY OTHER EBAYER!
